Data Processing Activities
We do our very best to protect your data, though the unexpected could happen. We are committed to always being fully transparent and notifying the supervisory authority and all affected parties according to the GDPR requirements.
For GDPR purposes, Equi Role Global is the Data Controller. When you add your profile to the Equi Role Global app, the details of your account are kept in the back office of our app and or website (AWS). Then, per the terms you agreed to when you signed up, employers and candidates with a ‘matching’ role will see each other’s profile, so that each can offer interviews/ apply for jobs etc. As per the terms you agreed to when you joined the app, your CV and photos and videos will be stored in your profile and can be seen by employers whose roles match your skills, so ensure that you only include details that you are happy to share. Use common sense and delete anything you don’t want an employer to know from your CV eg your home address. Employers need an email address and phone number to be able to contact you at the time of interview. So if you want to keep your personal email private, set up one for the purpose of job searching, if you wish.
How we use your personal information to communicate with you.
When you join the app you will be sent a welcome email and periodic emails such as a newsletter, from which you can unsubscribe at any time. Jobs by Email: As part of our contract with you, when you register a candidate account with Equi Role Global and you selected ‘agree to terms’, we send you emails when you get a match, an interview offer and a job offer or a new matching candidate, an application or a job acceptance. This is so you can react quickly and get the job/ candidate before someone else. These emails are automated. If you prefer not to receive them email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete your profile. For candidates, this email process is triggered when you create your profile by specifying your search criteria. Once you get a match you will get an email. If you are offered an interview you will get an email. If you are offered the job you will get an email. These emails are automated from our app back end. For employers, you will get an email when a new candidate matches your criteria, when they apply for your job or when they accept your interview or your job. We have this in place to improve the responsiveness of both candidates and employers, based on employer feedback. These types of emails are directly connected to your job/ candidate search. If you want to delete your account just email us email@example.com and we will delete you from our servers immediately.
You own your data so if you would like to view your data or remove it and bring it with you then we will work with you to make that happen.
If you would like to retrieve your data from our system, then we will help you to do that. Just log a Data Portability Request and we will process it within 30 days and return your data to you.
If you want to go one step further and use your Right To Be Forgotten which will permanently remove any trace of you and your data from our systems, then you can log a request with our data team on firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, it can take up to 30 days for us to process a Right to be Forgotten or Data Portability request. To protect your account security, you will be required to re-enter your password before we can action your Right to be Forgotten or Data Access requests.
